Encore DoD Supports Air Power Expo at Naval Air Station/Joint Refueling Base Ft. Worth

Encore DoD supported the Air Power Expo at NAS/JRB Fort Worth from 15-17 April 15 2011. The NAS Air Power Expo was held in conjunction with the Naval Aviation Centennial.

The line-up for the Air Power Expo started off with the Para Commandos Parachuting Team and ended with the famous Blue Angels Demonstration Team. A large variety of vintage and armed forces aircraft were on static display throughout the Expo.

TNAS JRB Ft. Worth Airport Manager, Dennis Statler, reported there were between 170,000 and 180,000 people in attendance during the three-day event.

The Encore crew provided support for a wide variety of aircraft during the event and pumped over 111,000 gallons of JP-8. They also provided over 1,740 gallons of gasoline for the Pyrotechnics display and 110 gallons of diesel for support equipment.
